HISTORY & EVOLUTION OF NILRA
NILRA took root following the election of the new administration as an effort to maximize capacity for emergency immigration legal defense in response to anticipated mass arrests, detention, and deportations, and to strengthen partnerships and maximize collective power.
As the landscape has changed, NILRA has evolved to ensure it responds to the current, urgent needs while minimizing duplication of efforts.

NILRA ALLIANCE MEMBERS
The NILRA Alliance strengthens coordination and collaboration among frontline legal providers, including nonprofit & community-based organizations, pro bono partners, and private attorneys. This alliance also adds logistical and funding capacity where needed and minimizes duplication of effort.
